Rugby, Regional 2 (16th in the French championship): Trélissac came up against a “significantly stronger” team

After resisting, the Trélissacois finally lost to Saint-Genès-Champanelle this Sunday, in the last 16 of the French championship (62-24).
There was no contest this Sunday in Chameyrat, Corrèze, where Trélissacois were playing. The latter, despite opening the scoring thanks to Hugo Sanchez, ultimately bowed to the clear superiority of their opponent of the day: Saint-Genès-Champanelle. The French championship adventure thus ends there. "We came up against a team clearly stronger than us, even though we had a very good start to the game," says co-coach François Richard. "But then we missed two or three tackles and they made a quine."
Have no regretsAnd then it must also be said that the RCT played more than ten minutes with a man down. Indiscipline also weighed a little, but overall, the Trélissacois have little to regret as the Puy-de-Dôme players were superior. Moreover, the RCT coach was surprised by the level of play offered. "They have slightly stronger players, who read the game. But we didn't drop off," he assures. "We played, we still scored 24 points, except that, it was stronger and there are no regrets to have," says François Richard.
Now it's time for recruitment for the club, which will lose a number of players. Yohan Magnol has also decided to leave the staff.
